wanted to expand my reach beyond the few
I reflected on what I valued the most in life and determined that I needed to renew my efforts to help the less fortunate than me. I continued working on weekends to help the poor students of our town academically and wanted to expand my reach beyond the few I could teach in my tuition center. So I planned and created a Television program through which to teach the students of our town. For that, I approached some local television channels in our State Tamilnadu, such as ERODE TV, RCN TV, MCN TV, AMN TV, and NAMAKKAL POLIMER CHANNEL for the opportunities to teach students online through television. My request was approved and I was given opportunities on local TV Channels to teach online Math, and English, and to conduct awareness programs as well. I started teaching online on TV and motivated all school students in our town to get through the exams and score high grades in the exams. I also gave many speeches on TV on different topics such as health, education, patriotism and etc., I also decided to help students by expanding the program with other subjects. For that, I organized a complete educational program in which I included other subject teachers to teach online. As per the survey taken by TV Channels of our district, from 2003 to 2010, every year 10,000 students benefited from my online teaching program. So from 2003 to 2010, a total of approximately 80,000 students benefited only in our Erode town from my educational programs on TV. Moreover, my television teaching programs were recorded and telecasted not only in our town but also in other cities of our state such as Namakkal, Salem, Komarpalayam, Kangayam, Tripur, Chennimalai, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli, Madurai, Thindukkal, Ooty, Mettupalayam and etc., So on a whole, approximately more than 300,000 students throughout our state benefited through my educational programs. I was highly recognized by the people of our state for my educational TV programs. I reached out to thousands of students in our state and was able to help them academically. I am proud that I am the one and only person who introduced this educational program to the local television channels for the first time in our state Tamilnadu which didn’t exist until I created them.
